Family Reading Time

Saturdays @ 11-11:30 am
Family Reading Time is for the whole crew. Stories geared toward slightly older readers, best enjoyed together.

Join a book club

Paper Boat hosts five regularly scheduled clubs here at the shop. We also support two community clubs that meet at locations around West Seattle. Check each club for specific details regarding meeting location, date, and time.

Do you have a book club? Next time you are in the store, register your book club with Paper Boat and all registered members will receive 10% off books ordered for the club. To qualify, clubs need a minimum of 4 members.

From mystery to the unusual, this club is for those who don't like book clubs. We keep it casual, chat about the book, swap stories, and have fun. Fiction-focused, bi-monthly, right here at Paper Boat.

The Unhinged Female Protagonist Book Club

Sometimes we're willing to go to extreme measures to get what we want. Once a month, we gather to discuss books about women who'll go to any length—to keep a secret, chase a dream, or claim success—and the fallout that follows. All are welcome to join us for fiction spanning satire, black comedy, and existential horror.

The Classic Novels (& Movies) Book Club

A book club for lovers of classic literature and film. We kick off each meeting with a trivia quiz, delve into a free-range discussion, then choose our next read together. From Austen and Dickens to García Márquez, and occasionally film, we range widely across the classics.
