Join us for Family Reading Time with Vashon author Stephen Schildbach. He will be reading his new picture book Santiago’s Woodpile and books will be available to purchase after the event.

Santiago's Woodpile is a delightful tale about a reclusive but resilient mouse, who meets the challenge of changing circumstances, and discovers newfound bravery within. ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Stephen Schildbach lives in a log cabin on Vashon Island in Washington State, covered in forest with a lot of scampering mice. He and many people who live on the island have woodpiles. He is a visual artist and builds websites. Santiago’s Woodpile is his second illustrated children’s book and the first book he has authored. Many of the joys in his life are shared with his wife Monica Schley, and two children.
